2. Instructions Of Disposable Spo2 Sensor

1. Hold the spo2 sensor with its opening toward the patient's index finger, toe, palm, or sole of the foot. The side with the finger or toe mark is placed on top, as detailed below:
2. Place the patient's measurement site into the spo2 sensor until the tip rests against the end of the sensor.
3. Adjust the measurement site so that it rests evenly on the middle base of the spo2 sensor.
4. Guide the cable along the top of the patient's hand or foot.
5. Insert the sensor into the appropriate oximeter and verify operation as described in the oximeter operation manual.
6. Check the skin at the sensor site for integrity every 2 hours.
